Membership of the Bernician Studies Group is open to students and researchers with an active interest in early North-eastern history, archaeology, art and culture. Originally drawn from the University of Sunderland’s Lifelong learning programme, they have been meeting for more than four years and now include students from the Explorers programme, an independent Lifelong Learning initiative run by and for its students in Newcastle upon Tyne.
The BSG is now a Community Interest charity.
